Widows are a neglected section of society. It’s the same case with well-to-do families and poor families as well. If she is left with no children then her life is too sad. Widows who are elderly suffer much. They go through the pain of being left alone besides economical poverty. We have surveyed the slums of Varanasi, we found many widows who are not been supported by their family members hence they are in extreme need of guidance and support.
