Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and talented female Resource Mobilizer to join our team at ASMITA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding grants from individuals, institutions (global and local), philanthropic foundations, multi and bilateral organizations, and corporates. The Resource Mobilizer will focus on growing the resources available for our philanthropic and welfare activities while also building strategic partnerships and alliances to amplify impact, mobilize resources, and enhance effectiveness of giving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build a robust pipeline of funding through campaigns and one-to-one interactions with potential donors
• Research and identify potential donors, communicating with them to encourage increased giving
• Develop contacts and networks within various institutions and donors
• Create and submit competitive proposals and requests for funding that align with ASMITA’s priorities and donor interests
• Ensure timely completion of proposals, reports, and other key deliverables required by institutional partners
• Design and implement institutional fundraising plans and quarterly action plans to achieve targets and develop relationships with donors
• Collaborate with other units within ASMITA to create content for campaigns and promote activities, fostering a sense of teamwork and unity
• Help strengthen ASMITA’s brand and reputation as a provider of strategic advice and thought leadership to clients and NGOs

Qualifications and Experience:

• Female candidate
• Postgraduate in a relevant field
• Experience in the social sector and related fields
• Proven track record in resource mobilization
• Knowledge of institutional fundraising best practices, proposal development, and donor solicitation
• Understanding of legal frameworks and compliances related to giving (e.g., FCRA, CSR frameworks)

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of the social sector and developmental work
• Experience working with government alliances or projects
• Strong proposal writing skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to represent ASMITA at the highest levels within institutions, companies, and governments
• Confidence in public speaking, influencing, and negotiating
• Understanding of Corporate CSR, philanthropic foundations, bilateral and multilaterals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality written outputs in English
• Flexibility to travel and attend meetings outside of normal working hours

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
