ASMITA Hosts Gender Sensitization Training for Youth Club Members

Varanasi, April 12, 2024 — ASMITA organized a one-day training session focused on gender, sex, and sexuality for its youth club members at the ASMITA campus. This training, part of ASMITA’s broader initiative to address gender sensitivity throughout the year, welcomed 56 adolescent participants from eight slum communities across Varanasi.

The session was conducted by Mr. Sahil from the Dakhal organization, a recognized expert in gender-related education and advocacy. Mr. Sahil engaged the youth in meaningful discussions on gender dynamics, promoting awareness and understanding around these critical social issues.

The event underscored ASMITA’s ongoing commitment to fostering gender sensitivity within the community, equipping young participants with the knowledge to advocate for gender equality in their own lives and communities.
