Tibetan Market Vendors Donate Winter Clothes to Support Vulnerable Children and Women at ASMITA Centers

Varanasi, December 10, 2023 — In honor of the Dalai Lama’s Nobel Peace Prize anniversary, Tibetan Market vendors at Beniyabag in Varanasi made a generous donation of winter jackets and clothing for 700 individuals, including children, newborns, and women at ASMITA centers. The donation aimed to support those facing harsh winter conditions, reflecting the compassion and generosity of the Tibetan community toward Varanasi’s most vulnerable.

On the first day of distribution, 75 children received jackets, while the remaining items were provided over subsequent days to ensure all recipients had access to warm clothing. This thoughtful gesture demonstrates a shared commitment to addressing the needs of marginalized communities, aligning with ASMITA’s ongoing efforts to improve the well-being of the city’s underprivileged residents.
